Discover what it truly means to be a disciple of Jesus through our transformative discipleship class, grounded in the example and teachings of Jesus as revealed in the Gospels. Learn to live as a child of God with peace, confidence, and purpose, just as Jesus did, and explore how to use your time, gifts, and callings to be transformed and transform the world around you.

Each session will begin with a captivating discussion starting video by Ray Vander Laan, a motivational teacher and respected Bible educator and ordained minister.

What Does It Mean to Be a Disciple of Jesus?

Being a disciple of Jesus means following Him wholeheartedly, modeling your life after His teachings, character, and mission. Our class will help you:

​

·      Embrace Your Identity: Understand your role and purpose as a child of God (John 1:12), giving you confidence to face life’s challenges.

·      Invest Time Intentionally: Prioritize prayer, worship, and serving others, as Jesus modeled (Mark 1:35, Luke 4:42-43).

·      Use Your Gifts and Callings: Discover and deploy your spiritual gifts and callings to build up the church and serve the world, as the early disciples did (1 Corinthians 12:7).

·      Surrender and Obedience: Jesus calls disciples to take up their cross daily (Luke 9:23), prioritizing God’s will above personal desires.

·      Love and Service: Following Jesus means loving others purposefully and sacrificially, as He demonstrated by washing His disciples’ feet (John 13:14-15).

·      Live Counterculturally: Stand firm in God’s truth with grace, as Jesus did, challenging societal norms with love (John 17:14-18).

·      Carry the Gospel: Boldly proclaim the good news, with your words and lifestyle, inviting others to a life-changing relationship with Jesus (Acts 1:8).
