Meet The Team

Jon Quesenberry is a church planter, worship leader and prophetic teacher. He is the pastor of the Dwelling Place Christian Community and the director of the Community Prayer Room in Charlottesville Virginia. Jon has been in Christian ministry since 1997 and has a Masters of Divinity degree from Eastern Mennonite Seminary.

He is married to Carol, his wife of 40 years and has four children and five grandchildren. Jon’s passion is the pursuit of the presence of God and cultivation of authentic Christian community.

Carol has served alongside her husband Jon in founding The Charlottesville House of Prayer, now Community Prayer Room and Dwelling Place Christian Community. She has a passion to see people set free from past hurt and trauma in order to walk fully in who they are called to be.  Her heart is to create a culture of real relationships and true kingdom family in the church. She works part time as an Occupational Therapist and loves to spend her free time hanging out with family, gardening, meeting friends for coffee and conversation, reading and crafting. Carol and Jon have been married for over 40 years and have 4 children and 5 grandchildren.

A Jesus follower for over 40 years, Bill loves to worship the Lord with all his heart. Bill is a clinically trained counselor, an intercessor trained in Theophostic Prayer ministry and a prophetic voice to our community. He is passionate about individuals finding wholeness in Christ and emotional healing through prayer and counseling. Seeing the big picture, Bill loves to dream and pray into what he senses God is saying and doing. Married to his best friend Denise, Bill loves to golf and spend time with his adult children (6) and his grand girls (5). Bill genuinely loves to connect with people one-on-one to share wisdom, good counsel and offer prayer.

Tori grew up knowing the unconditional love of the Father and experiencing the rest found in the shadow of His wings. Her first prayer language with the Lord was movement! Her years in dance training taught her a lot about living a lifestyle of worship and what it means to be co-creators with God. Tori has been married to her husband, Berrell, for just over a year. She considers it an honor to serve and worship the Lord alongside him. 

The Lord pursued Berrell at a young age by giving him a desire to read His Word. As the Lord surrounded him with friends who loved Him and leaders in the church who recognized and poured into his gift as a leader, Berrell began to recognize the call from the Lord to lead others to meet with and minister to God through worship.
